Funding And Fees

For a number of individuals looking at support with care in a care home, the cost of care will be met by that individual. The decision is made based on the total amount of savings and assets that an individual owns. The local authority will complete a financial assessment and will explain thresholds of care funding.

Residents may start on a self-funding basis and transfer over to one of the other funding streams later in their stay with us.

Local Authority Funding

A number of individuals will qualify for local authority funding following a social workers financial assessment. The local authority will pay a contribution to care and the individual will also pay a contribution, however this contribution reduces dependent on savings and assets. Your financial assessment will give a detail breakdown of costs to yourself.

CHC Funding

A few individuals with severe and enduring illnesses that require specialist and intensive medical input will qualify for CHC funding. This is paid for by the NHS and is not financially means tested. In order to qualify for this funding stream an individual is required to have a number of assessments completed by specialist assessors who will assess suitability for the funding.

“A huge thank you from us for your kindness and care of dad over the last 3 months. Dad repeatedly told me how well you all locked after him and of course over the last month, when we could visit, Micheal and I saw first-hand the excellent care and attention you gave to dad whilst he was so poorly. Those last few days were so hard for us to see Dad as he was and you all made every effort to comfort and reassure us. This truly made this very difficult time so much more bearable. You treated dad with dignity and kindness to the very end”
